Resumen

Este estudio examina críticamente cómo la transición a una economía regenerativa puede acelerar la descarbonización global en la era del Antropoceno. Al borde de una crisis climática sin precedentes, la humanidad se encuentra en una encrucijada crítica. La transición de una economía "gris" -impulsada por los combustibles fósiles y las prácticas insostenibles- a una economía "verde" y regenerativa no es sólo una opción, sino una necesidad urgente para garantizar la supervivencia y la prosperidad de las generaciones futuras. El análisis explora estrategias para avanzar en la descarbonización mediante la adopción de modelos económicos regenerativos, situando el debate en el contexto del dominio humano y su profundo impacto en los sistemas de la Tierra. El estudio sostiene que abordar el reto de la descarbonización en el marco del capitalismo global requiere un enfoque integral y multidimensional. Esto incluye el uso de soluciones basadas en la naturaleza junto con una reestructuración fundamental de los sistemas económicos y sociales.
